Notes: For this year's Valentine's Day special, I pulled out all the stops and decided to play the whole darn thing - Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs, by Derek and the Dominos, the greatest album of love songs ever recorded. I even did a little research on the torrid love affair focused around Patti Boyd, which inspired Clapton to record the Layla album. Patti first married George Harrison, then Eric Clapton fell in love with her, but she refused him. That's when Layla was recorded. Patti eventually married Eric, but even that didn't work out in the end.

I finally got around to playing some songs by The Primatives on this show. They're a modern folk rock band that plays around my hometown. Their first album, The Lovers Of Kali Yuga, has a strong focus on the concept of love, so the songs I played fit in really well with this show's theme.
