Notes: This would be my toughest semester, and my general disinterest shows in the conspicuous lack of themed shows. However, there's still some great radio here. I remember opening up the semester with the song California State Correctional Facility Blues. I always liked to open up the fall semester with a blast, and this song worked perfectly.

I remember show picks. The previous semester, I had missed out on the meeting, and had to go through a lot of trouble just to get a show slot, and it turned out to be a crappy Monday afternoon slot. The semester before, which was the first semester I got my own show, there were very few people at the meeting, so I managed to get a great pick and snabbed that sweet Wednesday 8-10 slot. I was expecting a similar outcome this time around, but boy, was I wrong. Plenty of people showed up to the meeting, and I was excessively low on the seniority list (partly because my name wasn't officially added to the roster for a while - one of the prices, I guess, of skipping formal training). So I got stuck with one of the last weekday evening positions - Friday 8-10pm. I remember being very (very) upset about getting this time slot. I suppose, in hindsight, it wasn't that bad, but the whole idea is that it was cutting into the weekend, and it totally screwed up my Friday rhythm. Ah well, it was just another straw on the camel's back - another brick in the wall, if you will.

I'm surprised at the number of requests here - maybe people were actually listening! Good to see Trower's I Can't Wait Much Longer on here, as that's one of my favorite songs by that group. I have a pretty good idea who requested Rhiannon, since it's one of my friends' favorite songs. It's possible that Stevie Ray Vaughan was requested by my roommate. Nice Zeppelin block in there. Story In Your Eyes and Dino's Song were definite summer memories, as was One More Cup Of Coffee, which was a song my brother and I played at our first gig ever that summer at The Coffee Den.
