Influences: Boogie With Stu is a studio jam featuring Ian Stewart of the Rolling Stones, and is based on a Ritchie Valens' song titled Ooh! My Head, released on his 1959 self-titled album (though it was likely performed in prior years). The band credited Ritchie's mother (Mrs. Valens), allegedly because they had heard that she never received any royalties from Ritchie's songs (after Ritchie's death in the 1959 plane crash that also killed Buddy Holly). Incidentally, Little Richard recorded a very similar song titled Ooh! My Soul, which can be found on his 1958 self-titled album. I'm still not sure which version of the song was the first.
